In addition to Tropic Airpower’s Standard of high quality engine rebuilding policy to new limits the following is incorporated into the Integrity Engine. The Crankcase is inspected and Overhauled. This includes: lapping the crankcase halves and aligned boring to correct geometric alignment of the engine’s sub assemblies such as bearing saddle tolerances to crankshaft, camshaft, related shafts and gears. The Crankshaft is reconditioned to new limits by polishing or grinding with new counterweight bushing assemblies and then dynamic balancing the entire assembly. This includes the counter weights, pins, plates, and retaining rings providing ultra smoothness and long life. Computer generated certification of the Dynamic balancing process is included in the engine log for history and increasing the value of the aircraft. Balancing the crankshaft as an assembly has reduced wear benefits that extend to other components such as alternator, starters, spinner bulkhead, oil coolers, fuel injection lines, exhaust and intake pipes. Pilot and Passengers enjoy the increased comfort of flying in a smooth aircraft. For maximum life expectancy Quality installation and dynamic balancing must go hand in hand. Tropic Airpower provides both. If the propeller and Prop Governor are Overhauled via Tropic Airpower a FREE Dynamic Propeller balancing after engine installation is included. This is the icing on the cake for the ultimate in total package Smoothness. The Rods are inspected for center to center length, taper, twist and out of round. The rod is rebuilt with new bushings; the big ends are aligned bored to new dimensions. The rods are balanced and installed in opposing balanced pairs enhancing engine smoothness, thus promoting long bearing and related accessories life. The Camshaft is Reground to new specifications and is then drilled to provide additional oil to camshaft lobes and lifter faces. Of course new lifters are installed with a modern anti-scuffing agent to help proper run in of the new parts. New Cylinder assemblies include your choice of through harden Steel manufactured by Superior Air Parts (Millennium) or ECI Nickel carbide barrels manufactured by Engine Components Inc (Titan). Both cylinder models share state of the art in castings, good break in, oil consumption, performance and long life. The cylinder assemblies installed on your Integrity Engine by Tropic Airpower will include New Intake and Exhaust valves, intake and exhaust seats, Flex-honed guides, springs, retaining key, Balanced Piston set, Piston Pins, Rings, all gaskets and seals. All cylinder assemblies are disassembled, re-inspection of all components, and reassembled by Tropic Airpower to insure tolerances are exact to promote long dependable life. All new Engine Components Titan Cylinder and Superior Millennium assemblies are warranted for ONE-YEAR Unlimited hours and pro-rated to TBO based on 40 hours per month. Engine Components Nickel Carbide barrels are warranted for THREE-YEARS or TBO against WEAR OUT or rusting. Nickel Carbide is a nickel plating process that has been used for over Forty years. It is now featured in the new BMW and Mercedes Car engines and has been used for decades in Auto and Motorcycle Racing engines. It is extremely durable, oil wettable and is non rusting. GAMI injectors for fuel injected engines are an option.
