Crankcases and all internal parts are measured for New Limits specifications and Non Destructive Tested for
Integrity. A New Camshaft and Lifters are installed to ensure long life and performance.
Fuel Injection controller/Servos, Distributors, Injectors, fuel pumps and Carburetors are o/hauled.
All New Pistons, Rings, Rod Bolts, Valves/springs, Bearings, all New Gaskets/seals are among the numerous

MAJOR ENGINE OVERHAUL PRICE INCLUDES:
ALL PARTS LISTED BY THE ENGINE MANUFACTURE FOR REPLACEMENT AT OVERHAUL WILL BE INCLUDED.
DISASSEMBLY OF YOUR ENGINE: ALL GREASE AND PAINT IS REMOVED FROM ALL ENGINE PARTS, THEN
CRITICAL INSPECTION OF PARTS, FROM THE CRANKSHAFT OUT TO THE ROCKER SHAFTS, 1ST BY ELECTRONIC
AND MECHANICAL MEASURING EQUIPMENT TO INSURE PARTS ARE WITHIN MANUFACTURER "NEW LIMITS"
SPECIFICATION. QUALIFIED PARTS ARE THEN SENT TO PALM BEACH AIRCRAFT PROPELLERS FAA APPROVED
REPAIR STATION NO. LU4R349M NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING LAB WHERE CERTIFIED PROFESSIONALS
INSURES THE INTEGRITY OF THE PARTS BY SUBJECTING THEM TO THE ZYGLOW, ULTRA-SOUND OR
MAGNAFLUX PROCESS. ANY PART WITH A DEFECTIVE INDICATION IS REPLACED, PERIOD. ALL PARTS
INSPECTED THIS WAY HAVE DOCUMENTATION ATTACHED. THE CRANKSHAFT IS INSPECTED FOR STATIC
BALANCE, STRUCTURAL AND DIMENSIONAL INTEGRITY. IT IS THEN RECONDITIONED TO NEW LIMITS BY
POLISHING OR GRINDING/NITRITING WITH NEW COUNTERWEIGHT BUSHING ASSEMBLIES AND THEN DYNAMIC
BALANCING. THIS INCLUDES THE COUNTER WEIGHTS, PINS, PLATES AND RETAINING RINGS PROVIDING ULTRA
SMOOTHNESS AND LONG LIFE. RODS ARE OVERHAULED AND BALANCED checked. A NEW CAMSHAFT AND
LIFTERS ARE INSTALLED. THE ROCKER ARMS ARE OVERHUALED/RE-RADIUS FOR CORRECT PUSH ROD TO
ROCKER ALIGNMENT. NEW BALANCED PISTON SETS ARE INSTALLED TO INSURE A SMOOTH ENGINE. THE
CRANKCASE IS OVERHAULED. DURING RE-ASSEMBLY, ALL INTERNAL PARTS ARE DEMAGNETIZED TO INSURE
LONG LIFE. THE ENGINE IS REASSEMBLED USING HIGH TEMP ENGINE ENAMEL PAINT BAKED ON. THE ENGINE
IS RUN IN ON OUR MOBIL ENGINE TEST/DYNOMETER STAND. THE ENGINE LOGBOOK IS BROUGHT UP TO DATE
INCLUDING THE FAA 8130-3 FORM CERTIFYING YOUR ENGINE WORK WAS DONE BY A FEDERAL CERTIFIED
REPAIR STATION USING METHODS APPROVED BY THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION.

THE INTEGRITY ENGINE-
The word Integrity Basically means Wholeness, Honor, Persistence, Honesty and a highly developed sense
of obedience to the unenforceable. When Integrity is used throughout the rebuilding of an aircraft engine by
Tropic Airpower the results far exceed the normal standard Overhaul. A State of the art smooth, strong and
powerful Power Plant pilots and passengers can enjoy for years.
In addition to Tropic Airpower’s Standard of high quality engine rebuilding policy to new limits the following
is incorporated into the Integrity Engine.
The Crankcase is inspected and Overhauled. This includes: lapping the crankcase halves and aligned boring
to correct geometric alignment of the engine’s sub assemblies such as bearing saddle tolerances to
crankshaft, camshaft, related shafts and gears.
The Crankshaft is reconditioned to new limits by polishing or grinding with Nitrating with new counterweight
bushing assemblies and then dynamic balancing the entire assembly. This includes the counter weights,
pins, plates, and retaining rings providing ultra smoothness and long life. Computer generated certification
of the Dynamic balancing process is included in the engine log for history and increasing the value of the
aircraft. Balancing the crankshaft as an assembly has reduced wear benefits that extend to other
components such as alternator, starters, spinner bulkhead, oil coolers, fuel injection lines, exhaust and
intake pipes. Pilot and Passengers enjoy the increased comfort of flying in a smooth aircraft. For maximum
life expectancy Quality installation and dynamic balancing must go hand in hand. Tropic Airpower provides
both. If the propeller and Prop Governor are Overhauled via Tropic Airpower a FREE Dynamic Propeller
balancing after engine installation is included. This is the icing on the cake for the ultimate in total package
Smoothness.
The Rods are inspected for center to center length, taper, twist and out of round. The rod is rebuilt with new
bushings; the big ends are aligned bored to new dimensions. The rods are balanced and installed in
opposing balanced pairs enhancing engine smoothness, thus promoting long bearing and related
accessories life.
The Camshaft is Reground to new specifications and is then optionally ,can be drilled to provide additional
oil to camshaft lobes and lifter faces. Of course lifters are installed with a modern anti-scuffing agent to help
proper run in of the new parts.
New Cylinder assemblies include your choice of Lycoming or through harden Steel manufactured by
Superior Air Parts (Millennium) or Nickel carbide barrels manufactured by TCM.
All cylinder models share state of the art in castings, good break in, oil consumption, performance and long
life. The cylinder assemblies installed on your Integrity Engine by Tropic Airpower will include New
Intake and Exhaust valves, intake and exhaust seats, Flex-honed guides, springs, retaining key, Balanced
Piston set, Piston Pins, Rings, all gaskets and seals.
All new Engine Components Titan Cylinder and Superior Millennium assemblies are warranted for ONE-YEAR
Unlimited hours. Nickel Carbide barrels are warranted for THREE-YEARS or TBO against WEAR OUT or
rusting. Nickel Carbide is a nickel plating process that has been used for over Forty years. It is now featured
in the new BMW and Mercedes Car engines and has been used for decades in Auto and Motorcycle Racing
engines. It is extremely durable, oil wettable and is non rusting.
Fuel Injection components and Carburetors are o/hauled.
GAMI injectors for fuel injected engines are an option. Installed they provide the latest advancements in
precision technology that’s proven to give Optimal fuel spread across all cylinders providing even power
pluses and cylinder head temperature resulting in Smoother performance while paying for itself in fuel
savings and reduced maintenance all the way to TBO.
New or Overhauled Slick or Bendix Magneto’s, Champion or Tempest FINE Wire spark plugs guarantee a
quick start and trouble free run. Bendix and Champion/Slick Magnetos are quality overhauled and Repaired
here on site.

They have Exclusively manufactured custom harness's for the Robinson Helicopters that have the flexible
Spark Plug end elbow for setting a precise angle that stays where you want it. Also, the New Horizons
ignition harness is easily repairable, One wire or more can be replaced to save on cost and downtimes.

Champion and Tempest Sparkplugs. THE STARTER MOTOR is overhauled. This is a critical component to
insure good starting every day for years.
Sky-Tec along with B/C quality Light weight starters along are available at reasonable cost exchanged or
outright.
The STARTER ADAPTER(TCM-Continental) is completely rebuilt using only the finest components from famous
Canadian Aero Manufacturing. CAM is State of the art in precision manufacturing from the great industrial
region of NIAGARA FALLS. This is another Part of the INTEGRITY Engine that insures long dependable
starting performance.
Using High Temperature Enamel paint, the crankcase, valve Covers, Push rod tubes with related parts then
oven baked. A beautiful luster, long lasting high temperature resistant paint. Your Enamel painted Tropic
Airpower Integrity engine is pure detailed Craftsmanship of the finest quality. A pleasing sight for you and
friends to see for years to come.
